Ca-dependent non-specific cation current ican. Based on a first order kinetic scheme, models the inward current (na, k, ca), activated by intracellular calcium, not voltage dependent. Kinetics based on partridge & swandulla (1988), written by a destexhe dec 1992. The paper references destexhe et al. 1993 for all v-gated channels and calcium pump. Model taken from destexhe et al. 1994, model no. 3670, with modified parameters. Modeling study, with animal model from previous experimental results used in the paper (steriade and contreras 1995).

Model has temperature dependence, with original kinetics at 22 deg C.
