  • Comments: Fast mechanism for submembranal ca++ concentration (cai), written by destexhe 1995, as described in mccormick and huguenard 1992. Accounts for (1) increase of cai due to calcium currents and (2) extrusion of calcium with a simple first order equation. This mechanism was used in destexhe et al. (1996), model no. 3343. The following changes were made here: depth was changed to 0.1 (line 44), and cainf was changed to 2e-4 (line 46). Animal model is from experiments in this paper. Hh k and na kinetics were adapted from previous study of tc cells in rats (mccormick and huguenard 1992).
