Mechanism to clamp intracellular camp concentration. I think that there are no ancestors for this one. Paper cites the following two references for model: mccormick & huguenard (1992) and destexhe et al. (1996). Modeling uses previous study on the thalamocortical circuit. No animal model mentioned in paper so it is considered generic.
