Metadata classes
- Animal Model: mouse
- Brain Area: rostral to midlevel, external globus pallidus (GPe), basal ganglia, globus pallidus (GP)
- Neuron Type: globus pallidus (GP) neuron
- Runtime Q: Q3
- Subtype: BK
Metadata generic
- Age: P17-22
- Authors: NW Gouwens, J Held
- Comments: Bk-type calcium-activated potassium current, adapted from model for cerebellar purkinje cell in khaliq et al. (2003), model no. 48332, with exact same kinetics and parameters, except for the addition of temperature dependence. Note that mod files here resemble those of maurice et al. (2004), model no. 98005, but this is not mentioned in paper. Animal model is from experiments in paper. Some channel kinetics were fit to data in paper, or constrained by previous studies of rat globus pallidus neurons (baranauskas et al. 1999, 2003) and others (see paper). This channel was adapted from model of rat cerebellar purkinje neuron (khaliq et al 2003)
- Runtime: 73.504
- Temperature: Model has temperature dependence, with q10 set to 3 and original kinetics at 22 deg C. Recordings in paper were done at 22 deg C, and simulations at 23 deg C.
