ICGenealogy Channel Browser

This is a short help-text about the basic browser functionality. See the full manual for additional explanations.

General usage

All of the views described below allow you to do the following:

• Zooming: Use your mouse and mouse wheel to drag and zoom the view
• Hover: Hover over a model to see its details.
• Highlight: Click on any model to open it in the right hand bar.
• Select: Shift-click on any model to select. Shift-drag to marquee-select several models. Shift-click anywhere into the background to clear the current selection.

View types

• Family: Models are represented as nodes, with edges that represent ancestor-descendant connections.
• XY: Data views that allow you to compare all of the meta-data between models.
• Similarity: Models are represented as nodes, and plotted in PCA coordinate space, according to the first two principal components.
• Cluster: Models are represented along a circular wheel, in order as defined by their cluster. The outer part of the wheel represents individual models, while the inner wheel represents clusters. Try clicking a cluster, to zoom in on all its members.

Right hand side controls

The controls on the right hand side allow you to modify, color and filter the currently selected view.
